Costa Rica presents its Third National Report on progress in the implementation of the Montevideo Consensus on Population and Development, detailing the public and organizational interventions that have been developed from 2020 to the first half of 2023. The different national coordination mechanisms that act as a permanent link with the Regional Conference on Population and Development of Latin America and the Caribbean with the participation of Civil Society Organizations, Academia and the Private Sector are described. In addition, the general characterization of Costa Rica is presented with its demographic particularities, its legal framework and its socioeconomic situation. Likewise, the implementation of the Montevideo Consensus on Population and Development in Costa Rica is presented, where the main public interventions (public policies, plans, programs or projects), the good practices of each chapter within the framework of their priority measures are mentioned.
