The mechanisms for implementing the Montevideo Consensus in Haiti are in line with the general guidelines provided in the Operational Guide for the implementation and follow-up of the Montevideo Consensus on Population and Development published by the Regional Conference on Population and Development in Latin America and the Caribbean.
In April 2016, an ad hoc working group was formed, coordinated by the Ministry of Planning and External Cooperation (MPCE) and UNFPA in Haiti, whose members come from the National Network on Population and Development (RNPD). The preparation of this report (2017) made it possible to reactivate the ad hoc working group and to call on other key actors of the Haitian public authorities, such as the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor (MAST), the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Civic Action (MJSAC), the State Secretariat for the Integration of Persons with Disabilities (SEIPH), the Ministry of the Status of Women and Women's Rights (MCFDF), the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) and the Presidency of the Republic.
The information on Institutionality comes from the Voluntary National Report submitted by the country in the period 2017-2019.
