National steering committee on the prevention and elimination of child labour in Trinidad and Tobago was established for a period of three years, to address the issue of child labour in Trinidad and Tobago

The Committee is established to oversee the implementation of critical activities associated with the prevention and elimination of child labour in Trinidad and Tobago, including the conduct of research to better understand the enabling factors and root causes of child labour in Trinidad and Tobago and development of a Draft National Policy on the elimination of child labour in Trinidad and Tobago.
